Susan Aaronson
is senior fellow in International Programs at the National Policy Association, a nonpartisan, nonprofit Washington-based think tank focused on social and economic issues. Aaronson is a monthly columnist for intellectualcapital.com and a frequent commentator on NPR's "Morning Edition" and PRI's "Marketplace." She is a frequent speaker on public understanding of trade and globalization issues, and is the author of two primers on trade - "Trade is Everybody's Business," for high school students and "Are There Trade Offs When Americans Trade?" for adults. These books relate trade to citizens' daily lives and their many roles as citizens, producers, consumers and friends of the earth. Her areas of expertise include globalization, international trade, international economics, business/government relations, and public policy. She has an M.A. in international affairs from Columbia University and a doctorate in history (business, economic, public policy) from John Hopkins University.
