Lia Chang is a journalist, a photographer and an actor. An award winning writer, her focus is on culture, style and Asian American issues. The recipient of an AAJA Executive Leadership Program Fellowship and an OCA Chinese American Journalist Award, she also heads her own production company, Lia Chang Gallery Collection and specializes in portraits, the performing arts, and abstract nature studies. Chang is presently a features writer and columnist for A. Magazine and GrooveAsia.com.

Thomas Cole is a broadcast editor and producer with 23 years of radio experience; editor of Peabody Award-winning documentary on Paul Robeson; Gabriel Award-winning feature on education in Philadelphia, and numerous AP Award-winning features. Cole is currently a producer for the cultural desk, News and Information Division at National Public Radio. Cole attended American University, Catholic University, and Grinnell College where he studied classical guitar and comparative literature.

Michael Deeds is the entertainment editor at The (Boise) Idaho Statesman. As entertainment editor, Deeds plans, writes and produces Scene, the newspaper's weekly entertainment magazine. In addition, Deeds plans, writes and edits entertainmentidaho.com, the newspaper's entertainment web site. Prior to his current position, Deeds was a features editor and sports reporter at The Idaho Statesman. As a freelance writer, he has had articles published in Raygun, Country Weekly, Velo News and The Rocket. Jefferson Graham is a technology reporter for USA Today. He covers digital entertainment for the Life section, focusing on entertainment oriented web sites that re-create the experiences of listening to music, watching TV and film on-line. In his tenure at USA Today, Graham also covered television, movies, music and general assignment features. Before joining USA Today, Graham was an associate news producer for Entertainment Tonight and a new technology editor for The Hollywood Reporter.

Jane Freiman Schanberg is the managing editor/features at the New York Daily News. She is responsible for all of the paper's arts, entertainment, lifestyle and celebrity news coverage. In her previous post as Sunday Features Editor, she revamped and launched the paper's two-year-old Sunday entertainment and lifestyle magazines, "ShowTime" and "LifeLine." Frieman Schanberg is a member of the American Association of Sunday and Feature Editors and has led the organization's two-year effort to develop professional and ethical guidelines for arts and entertainment coverage. Murray Whyte is the deputy arts editor for The National Post in Toronto, Ontario. His responsibilities include designing the paper's cultural coverage, supervising a reporting team, editing the section's media content, overseeing the daily center-spread showcase, Avenue, and regular writing. Prior to working for The National Post, Whyte was a business reporter for the Bloomberg News and a general assignment reporter for The Seattle Times. Whyte also held a position writing, producing, and wire editing for Time magazine's online news service, Time Online. Whyte has a Bachelor's of Arts degree from The University of Western Ontario, and a Master's of Arts degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from New York University.
