March 23 - March 28, 2003
University of California, Berkeley/Graduate School of Journalism
This Western Knight Center for Specialized Journalism seminar combined practical instruction in multimedia reporting with in-depth exploration of media convergence and other critical issues for online news operations. Participants received hands-on instruction, panels and presentations by online publishing experts, and attendance at the 6th annual New Media Conference.
What fellows have to say about past seminars:
"I was most impressed with the structure of the program - how each speaker
built on what we'd learned from the prior ones - and how together we saw all
sides of issues I didn't realize were so complex (despite 20 years in the
business). I know this will allow me to ask better questions, and isn't that
what we all need to do better - ask the right questions and then listen."
