In conjunction with the Selden Ring Awards
In the wake of Enron and corporate scandal, how do we tell the stories in our own backyard about local business that may need closer scrutiny? A part of the recognition of the 2002 Selden Ring Award winner, the Western Knight Center hosted a one-day seminar focusing on how journalists working for smaller, community news organizations can go beyond ribbon-cuttings, chamber of commerce and press release journalism.
What fellows have to say about past seminars:
"Thanks so much for this opportunity. It really demystified much of online journalism for us and gave me a very useful hands on experience in the tools of the trade. Well done."
