March 10 - March 13, 2004
University of Southern California/Annenberg School for Communication USC Center for Philanthropy and Public Policy
This timely seminar explored the social, political, economic and cultural role of philanthrophy in the 21st Century. Fellows met with recognized experts from academia, the "third sector" of philanthropists and nonprofits and regulators as part of a curriculum designed to help pull back the curtain from one of the most under-covered beats.

What fellows have to say about past seminars:
"Overall, the program was really excellent. I learned a lot, got tons of story ideas and perspective. As wonderful as it was to make contact with the sources, I think it was just as valuable - or more so - to meet so many enthusiastic talented journalists and exchange ideas and techniques and make friends."
