Follow the Money is a clearinghouse for state campaign finance data produced by the Institute on Money in State Politics.
Users can search more than 10 million state election records to determine the money patterns of candidates, contributors and industries
through customized queries or at-a-glance snapshots. Be aware that building customized queries takes time. Take a tutorial to
find out how to best access the site’s many databases.
Key features:
- Search Our Data: A search form located on right side of every Web page gives visitors the chance to make targeted searches
on donors and candidates right away.
- State at a Glance: Gives summary information on election money in a given state, such as how much was raised and spent; who
the top contributors are, and which state industries fund political candidates.
